Qualifications and Credentials

Respect Your Elders was founded by Ronda Butman after working as a Case Manager with Elder Care Referral Agencies in Northern California. While working with hundreds of families she developed high standards and strong business relationships with local care facilities. From there, she decided to form her own company based on one unique principal - Respect Your Elders.

Ronda Butman

”I remember the phrase ‘respect your elders’ being drilled into my head as a child. At the time, I wasn’t even sure what an elder was, but I did know the meaning of respect - the condition of being esteemed or honored. My opinion is that, in general, respect for our elders isn’t happening today. Whether it’s holding the door for them, helping them in the grocery store, or having their family visit them, we can put this simple command into daily practice. We need to re-energize the ‘respect your elders” movement today. This greatest generation has value and much to offer; they want, need and deserve our respect.”

”Rise in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your God” - Leviticus 19:32

Our mission at Respect Your Elders is to always treat the client with respect and compassion, while placing the needs, care and welfare four clients above service expectations. We are dedicated to raising the standards of caregiving in California and delicately balance the need for immediate placement while understanding the complex emotions that can come with dealing with the declining health of family member. Respect Your Elders offers clients and families the option to have our company offer free assessments, research, placement, and personal touring. We work directly with the Veterans Administration, IHSS, and facilities to negotiate placement, costs, caregivers, medical equipment needs, meals, and transportation.

We know there are many Care Referral Agencies to choose from. The difference with *Respect Your Elders* is the partnership we provide and the quality of care we offer. We assist families in making informed decisions of how to move forward with the care of their loved one. With placement, we have collaborated with over 150 local facilities to perfectly match the needs of your family member. With In-home care we are able to collaborate with the most professional caregivers in various regions at that same costs as other agencies whose caregivers may not be licensed and certified by keeping our overhead costs low. Every caregiver is screened with thorough background checks, licensed, and bonded before referring them to a family. Our company will only execute qualified, certified and licensed caregivers who can contribute both medical and non-medical care to our clients referred by our partners.

”Grow old along with me! The best is yet to be” - Robert Browning

Family is the foundation of all that makes us feel respected, needed, cared for, and appreciated. Family is the people who you love, and they love you back. It is the people who will be there and support you no matter what! From our family to yours, we will help you along the journey of life."
